Reading, Wine & Music
Texts that flow like the nectar of vines. Wine that intoxicates us like a good concert. Sounds that are like poetry. All this and all inclusive is what Readings, Wine & Music has to offer. This time, the guest is “one of the most dazzling virtuosos of his trade” (Eckhard Weber, concerti): Erik Bosgraaf. With his eye steadily fixed on new horizons, he has rocked three releases with Echo Minor, played with jazz greats, and has been staging theatrical multimedia projects since 2002. Speaking of which: it goes without saying that Bosgraaf also receives the fine support of the Deutsches Theater Göttingen.
Recorders enjoyed nearly just as much popularity in early 18th century London as Handel’s operas, which is why practically all of these were arranged and printed for solo recorder – for everyone to enjoy at home. Bosgraaf impressively presents these “one-man operas” to his listeners. They are especially palatable, because Bremer’s winery along the city wall has been serving this exquisite drink for seven generations. Rightly so, it is the traditional venue for our tasteful event series.
