Children's Day
Location detailsFestival time is children's time, too! On this special day, concerts by, for, and with children, as well as baby concerts, will be complemented by workshops in handicraft and instrument making. And a highlight of the children's workshops will be the joint construction of an organ, which will then be heard in concert! All this and many other surprises are to be found at “Händel 4 Kids!” on the first Saturday of the Festival in and around the Junges Theater.
Children's Day will be kicked off by the 3rd grade pupils at Albani School, who, together with the PRISMA ensemble, will perform their very own interpretation of Semele. After many weeks and months, the pupils will be able to unveil the end result of their work in a performance at the Festival. For many a young guest, the baby concert that follows is likely to be the first concert experience in their lives, to be followed by many more. The supporting program on Children's Day is geared in particular to the curiosity of the young explorers, providing answers to questions such as: Which instrument is actually called “Lion Roar” and can you take it home with you? And how exactly does an organ work?

Mitmachkonzert für die Allerkleinsten
Babys lieben Musik! Und weil das so ist, gibt es bei " BrabbelbabbelNomNomNom" ganz viel Musik – live und in Farbe. Laut und leise, langsam und schnell, bekannte und unbekannte Klänge. Hautnah und mit allen Sinnen machen die allerkleinsten Konzertbesucher*innen ihre ersten sinnlichen Konzerterfahrungen. Ob kuschelig und weich in Mamas Arm, bei Papa auf dem Schoß, mit Omi und Opi oder krabbelnd unterwegs im Raum – hier ist alles erlaubt. Gemeinsam mit ihren Begleitpersonen werden Babys und Kleinkinder zwischen 0 und 2 Jahren zum Mitsingen, Summen, Klatschen, Tanzen oder einfach zum Lauschen eingeladen.

Hier spielt die Musik! Und zwar vor allem für die Allerkleinsten. Aus diesem Grund freuen wir uns, wenn jedes Baby von max. zwei weiteren Personen begleitetet wird.
