Children's Day
Today is a day where anything is possible, because it is a day for you! On May 17, a variety of exciting activities and a colourful program for our young and very young audience will be held around St. Johannis Church, with lots to discover.
You can join us in designing buttons and making your own musical instruments. Music pedagogue Sonja Catalano will be hosting a baby concert. And children’s book illustrator Julia Ginsbach will give form and colour – and a voice – to the shrewd little meerkat Tafiti. In “Ach, dachte Bach ...” the Aurum-Ensemble Berlin takes a trip into the heart of Johann Sebastian Bach’s composition workshop. And pupils of the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium, together with pedagogue Christian Neofotistos and music educator Maja Hilke, have explored Handel’s oratorio Solomon and present their reflections.
