The tensions that arise between the many crises that we are facing as a society and the positive effects that classical music can have on our own sense of well-being. I think about how you shouldn’t rest on your laurels. E Auf welche Musik – außer natürlich der von Händel – können Sie nicht verzichten? Ich höre sehr unterschiedliche Musik. Das hängt sehr von der Laune und vor allem der Situation ab. Das umfasst fast alle Stilrichtungen und Epochen. E What music, apart from Handel’s of course, can you not live without? My musical taste is eclectic. It depends entirely on my mood and especially on the situation. It covers just about every style and era. E Was entspricht in Ihrem Alltag einem „barocken Lebensgefühl?“ „Carpe Diem“, eines der Motive des Barock: jeden Tag nutzen und das Leben nach Kräften auskosten. Das ist etwas, das ich in meinem Alltag versuche umzusetzen. E How does a “baroque way of life” manifest itself in your everyday experience? “Carpe Diem”, one of the motifs of the Baroque period: to seize each and every day and live life to the fullest. That’s something I try to embrace in my everyday life. E Auf welche Musik – außer natürlich der von Händel – können Sie nicht verzichten? Ach, gibt es außer Händel noch andere Musik, auf die man/frau nicht verzichten kann? ;-) E What music, apart from Handel’s of course, can you not live without?
