In 2024, the three musicians from Poland won the Bärenreiter Urtext Prize at the göttinger händel competition. A tribute to their interpretive depth and the unerring art of their tempi and phrasing. Now Régence sonore takes a close look at its own instrumentation. In the light-filled Reformierte Kirche (Reformed Church), they explore the genre’s historical metamorphosis from the trio sonata to the modern piano trio. A transformation that, starting with the Baroque master Handel, tells of a dynamic development and cultural exchange that criss-crossed Europe in the 18th century and still reflects one thing above all today: the interest in change and aesthetic exchange – from Venice via Versailles to Hamburg and Vienna.
